MAHMOOD RAQI (Pajhwok): One Afghan National Army (ANA) soldier has been killed and 12 other people wounded as a result of landmine blast in the Ala Sai district of central Kapisa province, an official said on Wednesday.
Police spokesman Abdul Shaiq Shorish told Pajhwok Afghan News the explosion took place in a district market, where a pick-up hit a roadside bomb late on Tuesday.
He said an ANA soldier was killed and 12 others, including two military personnel, six women and four children, were wounded in the blast.
The Taliban claimed responsibility for the blast. The group spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid claimed an ANA commander named Abdul Malik and his two guards were killed and a military vehicle destroyed.
