KABUL (Pajhwok): About 230 members of families affiliated with Daesh or Islamic State militant group have surrendered in Achin district of eastern Nangarhar province, the Ministry of Defense said on Friday.
The individuals, including 96 children, 51 women and 72 men, surrendered to government authorities on Wednesday night in Momand area of the district during a military operation, the Defense Ministry said in a statement.
