Heavy vehicles stopped from plying Salang highway

CHARIKAR (Pajhwok):  The authorities on Friday stopped heavy vehicles from plying the Salang highway following heavy snowing.

Salang maintenance and monitoring department said they stopped heavy vehicles from travelling on the highway on Friday morning. The snowing began early this morning.

Except heavy vehicles, other vehicles could use the highway that connects Kabul with nine northern provinces.

Drivers were asked to use winter equipment particularly tyre chain while traveling on the Salang highway.
