PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): A Lahore-based university has pledged to support Afghan students to promote the Pak-Afghan scholarship programme.
University of Management and Technology (UMT) President Ibrahim Hassan Murad said on Friday more than 50 percent of their fee would be paid by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
The rest of the fund would be paid by the ILM Fund. Murad hoped scholarships for Afghan students would create a new professional relationship and communication between the institutions of the two countries.
He believed such initiatives would strengthen bilateral relations, saying the step would bring about an educational revolution in the war-torn country.
