District police chief killed in Ghazni bomb blast

<p>GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): Local security officials on Tuesday said the police chief for Rashidan district of southern Ghazni province was killed in a roadside bombing.</p>

<p>Ahmad Khan Sirat, provincial police spokesman told Pajhwok Afghan News that 2<sup>nd</sup> Lt. Amanullah Ibrahimi was on his way to Jaghato district when his HUMVEE vehicle hit by the bomb.</p>

<p>He said that Ibrahimi was killed and two policemen were injured in the incident.</p>

<p>A clash between the <a href="/en/taliban" class="glossify-link">Taliban</a> and Afghan forces also happened in the area and the insurgents suffered casualties, he added.</p>

<p>Rahimullah, a resident of Qayaq area where the incident happened, said that besides the police chief, three policemen were also killed in the explosion.</p>

<p>Taliban did not comment on the incident so far.</p>
