PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): Police have rescued a child and detained his two alleged abductors at the Torkham crossing in eastern Nagarhar province, an official said on Tuesday.
Police spokesman for central Logar province, Shahpoor Ahmadzai, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the child had been kidnapped from Pul-i-Alam, the capital of central Logar province, eight days back.
“The abductors wanted to transfer the child to Pakistan, but police arrested them at Torkham,” he added. He said the two kidnappers had confessed to their crime.
Abdullah, father of the 13-year-old child, said his son had been missing for the past eight days. He thanked police for rescuing his son.
