Policeman killed, five injured in Nimroz blast

ZARANJ (Pajhwok): One policeman was killed and five others injured in a bomb blast in the Khashroud district of southwestern Nimroz province, an official said on Thursday.

Police Spokesperson Mohammad Ibrahim Amini told Pajhwok Afghan News the Taliban stormed police check-point on Wednesday night in the Rakin locality and intended to capture police check-post.

He said reinforcement was dispatched to counter the attack but police vehicle on its way struck a roadside bomb in which one policeman was killed and five others injured.
