KABUL insurgents have been killed and five others arrested during a raid in southern Helmand province, the spy service said on Saturday.
In a statement, the National Directorate of Security (NDS) said special forces raided the hideout of Taliban’s military head in Nahr-i-Saraj district.
The raid resulted in the killing of six rebels and capture of five others, including two Pakistani fighters, named Kalimullah and Bahauddin.
The security forces also seized 50 kilograms of explosives, five landmines, a pistol, a walkie-talkie, a number of vehicles. Two hideouts were also destroyed.
