JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Police have seized around 226 kilograms of drugs and detained four suspected smugglers in eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Sunday.
Attaullah Khogyani, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the drugs were recovered in three different raids in Jalalabad and Batikot district.
The drugs, which had been placed in three vehicles, included 141 kilograms of hashish and 85 kilograms of opium. Four suspects were held in connection with the drugs.
Fareed Khan, police spokesman, confirmed the seizure and said the detainees were currently under interrogation.
