KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): A district chief was wounded along with two guards in a roadside bombing in northern Kunduz province on Sunday.
The vehicle Hafizullah Sapi, administrative head for Chahar Dara district, was travelling in struck a roadside bomb, an official said.
Ismatullah Muradi, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the district chief and his guards were injured in the blast.
He said the explosive device attached to Sapi’s vehicle went off as the official travelled from Kunduz City -- the provincial capital -- to Chahar Dara.
Muradi said the injured were in stable condition. There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the explosion. Most parts of the district are under Taliban’s control.
