KABUL Cup 2020, led by 16-year-old opening batsman Farhan Zakhel.

A first-class cricketer, Zakhel has 929 runs to his credit in 13 matches in the format, including three centuries and five half-centuries.

Another prominent player in the squad is opening batsman Ibrahim Zadran, who has already made his full international debut and has represented for Afghanistan in two Tests, one ODI and three T20Is.

Afghanistan found their way to the semi-finals of the 2018 and 2019 editions of the U19 World Cup. In the previous edition of the tournament, Zadran scored 186 runs in five matches.

Other members of the side are Sediq Atal, Rahmanullah Zadran, Ishaq Mohammadi, Noor Ahmad, Shafiqullah Ghafari, Jamshid Mir Alikhel, Abdul Rahman, Abid Taniwal, Fazal Haq, Imran Mir, Zohaib Zamankhel, Asif Musazai and Abid Mohammadi.
