KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): At least 10 civilians were killed as a result of a bomb blast in southeastern Khost province on Tuesday morning, an official said.
Police spokesman Adel Haidar told Pajhwok Afghan News the explosion took place in the Abu Kani area of Trezo-Alisher district at around 5am.
He said 10 civilians were killed, including five men, two women and three children.
Talib Mangal, the governor’s spokesman, said the victims were on their way to attend a funeral.
He believed the victims were member of the same family. An investigation into the attack was underway, the official added.
