740kg of hashish, 40 weapons seized in Kabul, Logar raids

KABUL (Pajhwok): Intelligence operatives have seized 740 kilograms of hashish and 40 weapons in central Kabul and Logar provinces, the spy network said on Monday.

The National Directorate of security (NDS) said in a statement the drugs and arms were recovered during operations by the intelligence agency’s special unit.

It added the weapons included four different types of pistols, as many Kalashnikovs, one machine gun and 12 packages of pistol bullets. The seizure came in the 17^th police district of Kabul.

Elsewhere, 650 kilograms of hashish were seized in Abchakan village of Pul-i-Alam, the capital of Logar province, and another 90 kilograms in the 5^th police district of Kabul.
