2 attackers shot dead by police in Kandahar City

KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): Police in southern Kandahar province gunned down two armed attackers after they opened fire on an individual on Wednesday.

Police spokesman Jamal Nasir Barakzai told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place in Simano Pul area of the 9^th police district of Kandahar City.

He said the assailants opened fire at a man and injured him seriously. According to Barakzai, the two attackers were killed by the police personnel, who also seized two pistols.

The Taliban are yet to comment on the incident.
