Ghani in Badakhshan to inaugurate uplift projects

KABUL (Pajhwok): President Ashraf Ghani on Thursday arrived in northeastern Badakhshan province to inaugurate some projects and meet local officials, his office said.

A statement from the Presidential Palace said Ghani -- heading a high-level delegation -- reached Faizabad, the provincial capital, early in the morning.

The president will inaugurate a number of uplift projects, besides meeting elders, religious scholars, teachers, women activists.
