KABUL (Pajhwok): The Independent Election Complaints Commission (IECC) on Sunday announced taking final decision on complaints from northern Jawzjan province and complaints from another five provinces would be addressed today.
Mohammad Qasim Ilyasi, IECC commissioner, told a press conference here that the complaint addressing process had been completed in Jawzjan province.
He said the complaint addressing process in Parwan, Panjsher, Badghis and two other provinces would be completed at the end of today.
Maulvi Din MohammoadAzimi, IECC deputy director, said their commission officials have been trying to address complaints before the given time.
Zuhra Bayan Shinwari, IECC head, said the commission had introduced the perpetrators of electoral violations to judicial organs.
She said more than 16,500 complaints had been registered and divided into 16 categories.
Of the total complaints, 6,881 are about difference in biometric votes with the result sheet, 119 about vote increase for specific candidate, 552 about decrease of votes for a candidate, four about some votes of a candidate counted for the benefit of another one, 282 about cast of vote before of time, 657 about non-biometric votes and 2140 complaints are linked with invalidation of some polling stations without reasons.
She also added that 39 complaints about missing of results sheets, 36 about editing in results sheets after counting process, 13,38 about suspicious votes, 29 about biometric system, 1,380 complaints about unjustified votes, four about siding of IEC officials in recounting process, three about recount process without presence of observers and 1209 about other crimes.
Shinwari added complaints had been divided into three categories as per their nature.
