Zaman, US envoy talk peace process, election

KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Idrees Zaman and a US envoy have discussed issues of bilateral interest, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Tuesday.

At Monday’s meeting, US Chargé d’affaires Karen B Decker conveyed a condolence message from the American government and people to Zaman over the death of the 13 Afghan citizens in the Ukrainian plane crash in Tehran.

In a statement, the ministry said the two sides exchanged views on a range of issues, including the peace process, the presidential election and recent developments in the region.
