KABUL (Pajhwok): The Independent Electoral Complaints Commission (IECC) on Wednesday said classification of appellant objections from 29 provinces would be ended tomorrow and decided in next two days.
Election tickets have registered nearly 6,300 appealing objections and the IECC should respond to them within 15 days.
Presidential election was held on September 28, 2019 but final results are yet to be revealed.
Mohammad Reza Faiz, IECC deputy spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News that Parwan, Maidan Wardak, Takhar, Jawzajan and Badghis province had no appellants’ demands.
But appellants’ complaints were classified from Kapisa, Logar, Laghman, Punjishir, Bamyan, Ghazni, Kunar, Nuristan, Badakhshan, Samangan, Sar-i-Pul, Daikundi, Uruzgan, Zabul, Faryab, and Farah provinces, he added.
He said the complaints classification process would be come to an end by tomorrow across the country and decision in this regard would be made within next two days.
Earlier, the IECC started responding to electoral objections seven days ago. The objections include complaints about suspicious votes, none-biometric votes, votes polled out of time, difference of votes and some other issues.
