QALAT/KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): Taliban’s military commander for the Siori district of southern Zabul province was killed in an airstrike on Thursday morning, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) claimed.
In a statement, MoD said the airstrike targeted a vehicle the militants were travelling. Maulvi Mhamood Mukhlis was killed along with five associates in the raid.
Governor Rahmatullah Yarmal said Taliban’s logistics manager Anwar Omari was also among the dead.
