GHAZNI CITY/MEHTHARLAM (Pajhwok): Security forces have detained 12 people in connection with various crimes in southern Ghazni and eastern Laghman provinces.
Mohammad Ari fNoori, the Ghazni governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News that security forces detained nine individuals in connection with planting landmines, murders, robberies and harassment.
He said three Taliban insurgents were among the detainees who planned to plant landmines in the city.
He added landmines and silencer-fitted pistols were recovered from three militants and they had confessed to their crimes . . .
