<p>KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): Unidentified armed men killed a policewoman in this capital city of southern Kandahar province on Tuesday, an official said.</p>
<p>Police spokesman Jamal Abdul Nasir Barekzai told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place in Regai Kalachai area of Kandahar City this afternoon.</p>
<p>He said the slain policewoman was serving in the 9<sup>th</sup> police district of the provincial capital.</p>
<p>He added the policewoman was on her way to duty from home when she came under attack from unknown gunmen.</p>
<p>The assailants managed to escape the area but police were conducting a manhunt for them.</p>
<p>The <a href="/en/taliban" class="glossify-link">Taliban</a> have said nothing in this regard.</p>
