JALALABAD (Pajhwok): At least 22 Taliban insurgents have been killed, including a shadow district chief and three notorious commanders, during an air-and-ground operation in eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Wednesday.
Attullah Khogyani, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the security forces conducted operations against the militants in Haska Mena, Sherzad, Achin and Surkh Rod districts over the past 24 hours.
