PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Hundreds of exports-laden trucks stranded at the Durand Line, a Pakistani newspaper reported on Wednesday.
The Afghan government had barred the vehicles without route permits from entering the landlocked country -- a condition set this week.
But late on Tuesday, Afghan officials conditionally let trucks the trucks move toward their destination. Torkham-based customs officials told Daily Times the trucks had started moving toward Afghanistan.
Afghan border guards set a three months deadline for truckers to get route permits. After the expiry expiring of the time limit, trailers would not be allowed to enter Afghanistan.
