India thrash Pakistan, book berth in U-19 WC final

<p>Later in the day Wednesday, <a href="/en/afghanistan" class="glossify-link">Afghanistan</a> are all poised to take on hosts South Africa in their last match of the World Cup.</p>

<p>Batting first after winning the toss, Pakistan were bowled out for 172 runs as they lost wickets at regular intervals in the utterly one-sided match.</p>

<p>The defending champions chased the 173-run target with 88 balls to spare as Yashasiv Jaiswal cracked an unbeaten 105 from 113 balls, hitting eight fours and four sixes.</p>

<p>His partner Divyaansh Saxena made 59 of 99 balls. For his match-winning knock, Jaiswal was named man of the match.</p>

<p>The second semi-final will be played between New Zealand and Bangladesh on February 6.</p>
