KABUL Tadamachi Yamamoto have discussed Afghan peace process.
In a statement, Rahimi’s office said the Afghan government would continue its efforts to stop violence before the start of negotiations.
Rahimi thanked United Nationals Assistance Mission for Afghanistan (UNAMA) for its cooperation in the peace process and emphasized on the effective role of the body in advancement of the peace process, the statement said.
The statement quoted Rahimi as saying that the Afghan people stressed over elimination of violence and the government would continue its efforts to fulfill this demand before negotiations.
Yamamoto reaffirmed UNAMA’s continued support for the Afghan peace process and citied further cooperation and more closely with the state ministry for peace, the statement concluded.
