Addressing a press conference after the first session of defence ministerial meeting, he said the situation in the Middle East and North Africa was addressed.
The participants decided to further explore what more NATO could do to fight terrorism, build stability and strengthen partnership across the region.
“We also discussed Afghanistan as we continue to consult closely on the way forward. NATO fully supports the US-led peace efforts, which can pave the way for intra-Afghan talks, Stoltenberg said.
