BRUSSELS (Pajhwok): NATO Sir Nicholas Kay believes a small yet inclusive negotiating team will be effective for successful intra-Afghan talks.
Speaking to Afghan journalists on the sidelines of NATO defence ministers’ meeting in Brussels, Kay said the Afghans wanted peace talks to yield a joint agreement.
National issues must be considered during negotiations, the NATO SCR stressed, saying the date and venue for talks had to be decided by the Afghans.
