TIRINKOT (Pajhwok): Police in northern Uruzgan province on Friday claimed confiscating a huge cache of narcotics in the provincial capital, Tirinkot, based on intelligence tips.
The police headquarters said the confiscated drugs included 450 kilograms of raw hashish, 48kg of heroin, one Kalashnikov in Sosang area northwest of the provincial capital.
Deputy spokesman for the provincial government, Syed Mohammad Sadat Naseri said the Interior Ministry’s counternarcotics department should praise the Uruzgan police for their achievements. He said it were narcotics that kept the conflict alive in the country.
