KABUL in 2019, a new UN report said on Saturday.
The report documents 3,403 civilian killed and another 6,989 injured, blaming anti-government elements for most of the civilian casualties. It is the sixth year in a row the number of civilian casualties has exceeded 10,000.
Civilian casualty figures for 2019 surpassed a grim milestone -- after more than a decade of documenting the impact of the war on civilians, the UN found the number of civilian casualties surpassed 100,000 in 2019.
