PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): The Afghan consul-general and the governor of Pakistan’s northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province have conferred on issues of common interest.
Najibullah Ahmadzai, who was recently appointed as consul general, called on Governor Shah Farman in Peshawar on Monday.
The overall situation in the region after the signing of the peace agreement between the Taliban came up for discussion at the meeting.
Pakistan desired peace and stability in Afghanistan, the governor told the diplomat, who was greeted on the formation of President Ashraf Ghani’s new cabinet.
