KABUL (Pajhwok): Around 10,000 prisoners will be freed from jails in compliance with Presidential decree to prevent the spread of coronavirus, officials said on Thursday.
Ahmad Rashid Totakhel, general director of detention centres, in a joint press conference with Attorney General Office and Health Minister made the announcement.
A special presidential decree included the release of 9,000 to 10,000 prisoners to be released in coming 10 days and necessary directives in this regard . . .
