JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Security forces have arrested as many as 250 people in eastern Nangarhar province in connection with different crimes during the past two weeks, the governor said on Saturday.
Governor Shah Mahmood Miakhel told media persons here that drugs and weapons were recovered from the detainees during the joint operations by Afghan Special Forces across the province.
He said 1366 kilograms of narcotics, bomb-rigged vehicle, rickshaw, seven weapons and 32 vehicles had been also seized from the detainees.
Meanwhile, Nangarhar police chief Eimal Niazai said the detainees included 10 terror suspects . . .
