Civil society activists gunned down in Pul-i-Alam

PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): Unidentified gunmen have shod died a civil society activist in central Logar province, an official said on Sunday.

Deedar Lawang, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News Qudratullah Stanikzai was gunned down in Pul-i-Alam late on Saturday.

He said no one had been arrested so far in connection with the incident, but the security forces had launched an investigation into the murder.

Khushal Stanikzai, anther civil society activist, expressed deep concern over the murder of his associate. The slain activist had no personal enemy, he added.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the killing.
