KABUL militants and destroyed their five hideouts and seized thousands of kilograms of drugs during separate operations, the spy-network said on Monday.
A statement from the National Directorate of security (NDS) media’s office said a nine-member Taliban group was detained during the NDS Special Forces Unit raid in central Maidan Wardak province.
The statement said a number of weapons and one arms depot of Taliban were also seized in Tizen valley of Sarobai and Dashtikohna areas of Khak-i-Jabar district of Kabul.
The forces conducted operation against Mullah Anar Gul, a key commander of Taliban insurgents in Marja district of southern Helmand province.
More than 100 landmines and more than 1,000 kilogram of explosives were discovered and destroyed in the operation.
