CHARIKAR, has been closed for traffic as a result of snowfall and windstorm.
Samiullah Walizada, the highway maintenance commander, told Pajhwok Afghan News the key route was shut for cargo trucks on Sunday night.
In the winter, traveling the highway is dangerous for passengers due to heavy snow and cold weather. Several passengers lose their lives every year to frosty conditions in the tunnel.
