KABUL and Religious Affairs on Tuesday recommended the presence of a limited number of worshippers in congregational prayers in mosques to check the coronavirus spread.
Dr. Aminuddin Muzafar, secretary Hajj and Religious Affairs, told reporters here that Friday’s prayer and the five times congregational prayers should be performed in presence of few people in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
He said more precautionary measures were required to contain the deadly virus and Muslims were advised in most countries to pray at home.
Referring to the burial of infected people bodies, he said burial was the right of every Muslim and should be carried out respectfully.
Over 170 persons contracted coronavirus in Afghanistan, in which three persons have died and some have recovered.
