PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): At least three policemen, including an officer, have been killed in a Taliban attack in central Logar province, an official said on Wednesday.
Deedar Lawang, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the militants attacked on Noor Khuda, the 1st police district crime branch chief, in Pul-i-Alam late on Tuesday night.
He said three policemen, including Noor Khuda, were killed. No one has been arrested in connection with the overnight attack so far. But security forces have launched an investigation.
A security official, who wished go unnamed, told Pajhwok that Noor Khuda was killed near an auto bargain centre after he received a call to resolve a dispute between two tribes.
The Taliban have not yet commented on the incident.
