Another presidential guard killed in Kabul gun attack

KABUL (Pajhwok): Another member of the Presidential Protective Services (PPS) has been killed in an armed attack in Kabul, an official said on Sunday.

Tariq Aryan, spokesman for the Ministry of Interior (MoI), told Pajhwok Afghan News that unidentified assailants shot died Attaullah and wounded his colleague.

The incident was being investigated, he added. The attack took place in the Taimani neighbourhood of the capital late on Saturday.

But a resident of the area, who wished go unnamed, told Pajhwok the incident occurred in Taimani Project area.

A week back, PPS member Qayamudin Maqsoodi was killed and another guard wounded by an unidentified gunman in Paghman district.
