<p><a href="/en/afganistan/kabul" class="glossify-link">KABUL</a> Resolute Support helped Afghan army’s 215th Maiwand Corps get critical supplies to fight the COVID19 epidemic, the mission said on Thursday. “We stand behind our partners in this fight.”s</p>
<p>The 215th Corps officers and doctors will distribute supplies to brigades across Nimroz and Helmand provinces to protect Afghan National Army partners as they provide security for southwest <a href="/en/afghanistan" class="glossify-link">Afghanistan</a>. </p>
<p>The shipment included infrared thermometers—a non-contact method to measure temperatures and screen personnel who may have a fever—one of the main symptoms of COVID19.</p>
<p>The delivery also included more than 13,000 disposable masks, 13,000 units of sanitizers, disinfectants and soaps, 1,000 sets of personal protective equipment for medical providers and patients, disposable gloves and protective eyewear.</p>
