Wife axed to death by husband in Kapesa

MAHMOOD RAQI (Pajhwok): A 30-year-old woman was axed to death by her husband in the Dara-i-Afghania district of central Kapesa province on Saturday, an official said.

Governor Spokesperson Abdul Shaeq Shoresh told Pajhwok Afghan News police have launched investigation into the incident and arrest of the slain woman husband and added family violence might have been reason behind the murder.

Women Affairs Director Shekiba Saifi acknowledged the incident but did not provide more detail.
