4 Daesh suspects arrested in Kabul, Jalalabad

KABUL (Pajhwok): Four Daesh or so-called Islamic State (IS) rebelsx have been arrested in Kabul and eastern Nangarhar provinces, an official said on Monday.

Tariq Aryan, spokesman for the Ministry of Interior (MoI), told Pajhwok Afghan News that National Directorate of Security Special Forces carried out a raid against terrorists in 17th police district of Kabul late on Sunday night.

He said the forces detained two suspected IS rebels in the nighttime raid.

Elsewhere, NDS personnel arrested two Pakistani nationals affiliated with Daesh in Jalalabad, the capital of Nangarhar province, the governor’s spokesman said.

Attaullah Khogyani told Pajhwok the detainees, Atif and Khan Alam, were operating against government in Kunar province.
