PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Afghan and Pakistani officials have agreed on the need for exploring ways and means of enhancing trade volume between the two countries.
Afghan Consul General in Peshawar Najibullah Ahmadzai visited the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Board of Investment and Trade (KPBOIT) and met Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Industries Abdul Karim Khan.
KPBOIT CEO Hassan Daud Butt and representatives of Sarhad Chamber and Pak-Afghan Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry also attended the meeting on Saturday.
The Afghan diplomat floated some recommendations to improve trade links between the neighbours. He called for keeping the Durand Line at Torkham open for more days.
The CM’s special assistant agreed with the proposal regarding the increase in trade volume between two countries and assured his support in this regard.
