KABUL (Pajhwok): President Ashraf Ghani and his main political rival Dr Abdullah seem to be inching towards resolving the political impasse and agreeing on a power-sharing deal.
Abdullah announced on Friday progress made in negotiations between the two camps. “Glad to assure the people that efforts by national personalities to resolve the political crisis have borne fruit,” he tweeted.
He confirmed reaching a tentative agreement on a range of principles. Work on details to finalise the deal was ongoing, wrote the former chief executive.
