4 dead, 10 injured in Daikundi accident

NIELI (Pajhwok): Four people were killed and 10 others injured in a traffic accident in central Daikundi province on Saturday, an official said.

Zamin Poya, administrative head for Shahristan district where the accident occurred, told Pajhwok Afghan News the casualties happened at 8am when a speeding van veered off the road.

As a result, he said, two men, a woman and a child were killed. Two women and 8 men suffered injuries in the mishap in Amuk area, the official added.

The injured were taken to hospital for medical treatment. No official word was immediately available regarding their condition.
