KABUL (Pajhwok): Hundreds of flood-affected families in northern Takhar province have received food and cleaning supplies from a Turkish charity.
About 500 families in Dashti Qala and Khwaja Ghar districts were handed the supplies by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA).
In a statement, TİKA said it distributed food and cleaning supplies to the needy families in the two districts that were hit by floods a few days ago.
The deserving households were given 500 food parcels containing flour, rice, sugar, sunflower oil, tea, salt, tomato paste, cranberry beans and soap.
Supporting Afghanistan’s fight against the coronavirus, TİKA recently delivered 100,000 masks for distribution to healthcare institutions in northern provinces.
