KABUL a plane carrying seven tonnes of medical supplies, a media report said on Saturday.
The aid would help about 7,000 medical professionals trying to contain the Covid-19 pandemic in Afghanistan, The Khaleej Times reported.
UAE Ambassador to Afghanistan Eisa Salem Mohammed Aldhaheri said his country was committed to ensuring the Afghan medics were equipped with the appropriate protective tools.
He hoped the assistance would protect the health and safety of the Afghan doctors and medics as they bravely battled the pandemic.
He said the UAE was determined to work with Afghanistan in the spirit of collaboration and unity to improve health outcomes for the country and its people.
