MoPH spokesman Wahidullah Mayar told Pajhwok Afghan News that the new 658 positive cases were confirmed among 1152 suspected cases during the period, pushing the nationwide tally to 11, 831.
Mayar said so far 220 people had died in Afghanistan from Covi-19 infection while 1128 had recovered.
The lasted cases include 237 in Kabul, 85 in Herat, 77 in Balkh, 59 in Baghlan, 52 each in Badghis and Farah, 29 in Faryab, 27 in Nangarhar, 11 in Bamyan, 10 in Paktia, seven in Logar, six in Kapisa, four in Sari Pul and one each in Samangan and Takhar provinces.
