FARAH (Pajhwok): Fourteen security personnel, eight Taliban and a woman have been killed in attacks in central Parwan and western Farah provinces, officials said on Thursday.
Police spokesman Mohibullah Mohib told Pajhwok Afghan News seven police personnel and eight insurgent were killed when the stormed security check-posts in Farah’s capital. late on Wednesday night.
Noor Ahmad, a resident, confirmed the attack and said some of the check-posts fell to the Taliban but security reinforcements had reached the area.
