KABUL (Pajhwok): Three civilians were killed when a mortar shell landed in their house in the Siagird district of central Parwan province, officials said Sunday.
The mortar was fired by the Taliban at a security checkpoint in the Joye Dukhtar village of the district on Saturday night, alleged Wahida Shahkar, the governor's spokeswoman.
But relatives of the victims said the mortar shell was fired by the security personnel. In protest, area residents blocked the Kabul-Bamyan highway . . .
