Women, children among 9 killed in Herat collision

HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): Seven members of a family have been died as a result of a traffic accident in western Herat province, an official said on Sunday.

Jilani Farhad, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News that a passenger vehicle collided with a cargo truck on the Herat-Kandahar highway in Adraskan district on Saturday night.

He said three women, four children and two men were killed in the collision. The victims hailed from central Kapisa province, he concluded.
